Was born in San Antonio, Texas. Ed was admitted to the Texas Supreme Court and Texas Bar in 1991. Ed was admitted to the Texas Northern District Court and the Texas Western District Court. Ed attended and graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a B.S. in 1988. Ed received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law in 1991. Ed is Board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law since 1996. Ed is a member of the following professional organizations: Texas Bar Association, San Antonio Bar Association, Tarrant County Bar Association, and Texas Association of Defense Counsel. Ed is experienced in general insurance defense litigation matters including motor vehicle collisions, trucking litigation, dram shop, premises liability matters, construction defect, and first-party insurance litigation matters. He is an invited participant at the annual Texas Minority Counsel Seminar and has been an invited speaker/instructor for insurance claim representative continuing education seminars. Ed has tried approximately 100 matters to verdict and has successfully litigated to verdict in venues such as Bexar, Maverick, Tarrant, and Dallas Counties. He is also an invited trial instructor with the continuing TADC trial program. Litigation venues include central and southern counties such as Travis, Bexar, Maverick, Jim Wells, Dimmit, Zavala, Webb, Starr, Hidalgo, Willacy, Cameron, Ft. Bend, Harris, and Nueces. Ed was selected and certified as member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.
Ed and his wife, Nina, have three children and reside in San Antonio, Texas. Ed and Nina attend Community Bible Church and are both active in coaching or assisting with year round YMCA teams of various sports and are also involved in the area of Community Service activities. Ed is a shareholder in Curney, Farmer, House & Osuna, P.C.
