Congratulations to CFHOJ Law and Brittany Box on their recent trial outcome. The matter involved a comparative negligence case with allegations of severe injury and chronic pain. The jury deliberated for a day, was deadlocked as to liability as to Defendant, and upon mistrial, stated that the award would have only been a fracture of one doctor visit and/or less than $850.00.
Congratulations to CFHOJ Law, Edward Osuna and Ruben Olvera on their recent trial outcome. The case involved an alleged intoxication assault wherein Plaintiffs were seeking an overall award of more than $180,000,000.00 in recovery. The jury, after one half day of deliberations, returned a Global verdict of less than $107,000.00 in damages. The jury also found no Gross Negligence and awarded zero in punitive damages. The jury further concluded Defendant did not commit intoxication assault.
Congratulations to CFHOJ Law and Associate Chris Layne on their recent trial outcome. Plaintiff was alleging permanent injury and alleged the need for future cervical surgery. Plaintiff argued for more than $125,000.00 in damages. The jury returned a verdict including a 50/50 split of liability while awarding nominal damages and zero for most if not all intangible damages. The Plaintiffs net verdict was thus no more than $8,500.00 and less than Defendant's prior offer.
